When your child walks through the door of One Kids they will be immersed in an environment that nurtures creativity, sparks imagination and calls them to a life of purpose. We believe that by providing a fun learning environment your child's faith will come alive.
Each week your kids will work in teams as they participate in science experiments, gardening, storytelling, and various art forms. This hands-on tactile approach to learning is designed to help children recognize God is not simply contained in a book or in ancient history but that He is present in their lives today.
The heart of Kids Lab is home life. Each week we send children home with a Grab Bag, a pre-made family activity, that children can do with a parent. The Grab Bags are meant to spark conversation, create family unity and give you a tool to make a positive memory with your kids.
In class, we tell stories from the Bible. Rather than simply read them we utilize the faculties of sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch to encourage students to imagine what it would be like to be in the Bible stories that we share. We believe that children learn best through this type of experiential learning.
Isn’t it amazing what you can learn from your child if you take the time to ask them questions? Jesus said in Matthew 18, “unless you become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Children have such a unique perspective on life and God. At One Kids we encourage learning by asking thought-provoking questions, guided discussions and actively involving them in the learning process.
We believe that children are naturally creative, but in a world that applauds conformity, creative thinking is often eroded over time. At ONE TUL we believe that it is our responsibility to help preserve the creative nature of our children in order to equip them to be the leaders God has designed them to be.
Our children are surrounded by entertainment. We feel it is vital to teach them to be creators, not simply consumers. We involve them in the creative process in each lesson, encouraging the creative gifts inside of them to come alive. All supplies for our lessons are taken from everyday items and recycled materials that can be found around the house so that children can bring their creativity to life at home.
